Description:
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Ensures organization’s compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
- Ensures consistent application of Human Resources policies, practices and procedures
- Coaches the Supervisor’s and Managers with employee performance or work rule concerns ensuring the importance of consistency and documentation.
- Conducts investigations and communicates the results along with resolution.
- Partners with managers to address employee concerns and work related conflicts
- Guides and supports the Human Resources Staff in the recruiting, new hire onboarding, benefits and payroll functions.
- Develops or ensures that job descriptions are current and in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. When necessary, conduct job analysis.
- Coordinates the annual performance management process.
- Works with the Manager’s to ensure that performance reviews reflect meeting Company and Department goals and are completed within a timely manner. Ensure that assigned goals follow the SMART guidelines.
- May participate in the salary planning process, the succession planning process, or compensation analysis.
- Administration of health benefits including review of offerings and conducts employee benefits meetings.
- Develops and Administers training programs for Supervisors, Managers and staff and conducts yearly training against harassment and workplace violence
- Administers the worker’s compensation process and partner with safety when required to address any concerns.
- Administers the leave of absence process including but not limited to, FMLA, NJ FLI, NJ Temporary Disability, Long Term Disability and ADA review process
- Ensures each employee works in a safe and responsible manner in order to create an injury-free and incident-free workplace. Complies with all job-related safety and other training requirements.
- Other duties as required based upon business need
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION:
- 5 plus years’ experience in the Human Resources function.
- Bachelor’s degree – Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources Management, Organization Development
- Prior experience in a nutraceutical manufacturing /packaging or other FDA regulated environment
- MS or MBA preferred
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certifications are a plus

- Ability to manage confidential employee and company information
- Ability to lead by example
- Ability to guide and direct Company staff across all areas
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Able to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in MS applications and has worked in various HRIS programs
- Ability to guide and direct work in a cross-functional teamwork environment
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (Preferred)
Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for coordinating the administrative and operations function of the HR Department. This includes the supervision of the Human Resource Generalist, Recruiters, Payroll Specialist and other staff as assigned to the department.
