Responsibilities:
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage audits of company(ies) headquartered in Switzerland and/or subsidiaries of multinational groups, including integrated audits under PCAOB and ISA auditing standards of companies reporting under US GAAP and IFRS accounting frameworks.
- Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess clients’ satisfaction.
- Proactively maintain contact with the client throughout the year.
- Direct daily fieldwork, inform Senior Managers and Partners of the engagement status, and manage staff performance.
- Coach more junior audit team members on accounting and auditing matters.
- Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment.
- Contribute ideas/opinions to the audit teams and listen/respond to other team members’ views.
TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in economics, accounting or finance with professional qualification (i.e. Swiss, US or other recognized CPA qualification)
- At least 5-7 years audit experience including 1 year managerial experience gained in leading audit teams in an international environment
- Managerial experience in leading an audit team in an international environment, coaching audit staffs and seniors on technical accounting/auditing procedures, liaising with audit specialists (ie. IT, Tax, Valuation)
- Assertive and proactive approach, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work in an international team environment.
- Ability to network effectively within large organizations and build relationships with individuals and clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential. Knowledge of Italian, French and other languages is beneficial.
- Hands-on and self-starter individual.
- Excellent ability in documenting accounting positions and in preparing auditing documentation is considered essential, together with ability and willingness to coach more junior team members.
- Experience in data analytics.
