We are seeking a Manager, Indigenous Relations who will lead and oversee the daily operations of Ledcor’s Indigenous Affairs business development team. This role focuses on building and fostering relationships with Indigenous communities across Canada in alignment with Ledcor’s corporate priorities. The Manager will ensure the team’s efforts support short-term operational goals while enhancing Ledcor’s reputation in Indigenous engagement and sustainability.

Essential Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with key Indigenous communities essential to Ledcor’s initiatives.
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic partnerships aligned with Ledcor’s long-term business goals.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership and business units to integrate Indigenous engagement strategies into broader business plans.
- Provide direction in delivering value-added services to support business development, including data-driven insights and analysis.
- Enhance the accessibility and availability of Indigenous engagement resources and support services across all Ledcor businesses.
- Develop and maintain processes to streamline service delivery and improve the impact of the Indigenous Affairs team.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in Indigenous relations and sustainability; share insights with internal leaders.
- Monitor competitor and industry activities to refine Ledcor’s Indigenous engagement strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Represent Ledcor in external forums, industry associations, and community events, promoting the company’s commitment to sustainability and Indigenous engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous communities, clients, and other key stakeholders.
- Oversee the management of external relationships to support Ledcor’s business objectives and enhance its reputation.
- Ensure effective implementation of services that meet internal stakeholder needs, aligning resources with Ledcor’s operational priorities.
- Coordinate with other supervisors and teams to optimize Indigenous Affairs service delivery and foster cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in business development, specializing in partnership building and Indigenous relations.
- Commercial and financial expertise is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and practices.
- Excellent communication and professional writing skills.
- High proficiency in computer skills, including data analysis tools.
- Ability to travel 25-50% of the time for business development and project engagements.
- Office-based role with occasional travel for community and industry events.
- Proven managerial skills, as you will lead a team of 2 staff members.
