Salary band & range: GSR A $158,916 to $212,730 depending on skills and experience.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced people leader to join our Trade and International Relations directorate which sits within our Policy & Trade business unit.
The Manager International Environment & Sustainability leads MPI’s work programme on international environment and sustainability instruments and measures to ensure they maximise sustainable outcomes for New Zealand’s primary sector and for our trade in sustainably produced food and fibre products.
You will ensure MPI effectively represents NZ Inc and primary industry sector interests in relevant cross-agency work programmes relating to international environmental issues that affect the primary sector, including international negotiations on climate change, biodiversity, forest management and sustainability.
Given the international context of this role, some offshore travel may be required.
