JOB DESCRIPTION:

L3Harris Corporation is currently seeking a high-energy people leader for Inventory Management. This is an onsite role located at our Camden, NJ facility. The Inventory Manager is responsible for the daily movement of material both physically within the factory and systematically within SAP for the Camden factory and will report to the Surface and C5 Division, Director of Operations. This position will provide support to every on site project and manage material resources. This role will support the business with a focus on implementing, maintaining, and improving inventory management processes.
This role will manage both union and non-union workforce for the stockroom, packing, shipping, and receiving. The Inventory Manager will ensure the team is executing inventory management including receiving, stockroom, material distributions, packing and shipping on SAP. Interact with all elements of the manufacturing team to support regular communications of material status, issues, improvements, and corrective actions and be able to demonstrate agility among a variety of tasks. Daily tasks include validating material receipt, work prioritizations, issue resolution, inventory analysis, and supervision of personnel. Communication with operations leadership to implement continuous improvement and execute business process improvements. Understanding and execution of all business policies and procedures for compliance to preserve industry certifications. Lead monthly reviews of material inventory status to support the 4 week Sales Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process. Lead daily Gemba meetings to report stockroom and shipping priorities, status, and performance. Report Monthly Inventory Cycle Count progress. Additional responsibilities include communicating with the supply chain organization to meet material requirements, management, support of MMAS compliance, AS9100 compliance, and completion of financial analysis of inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Understanding of inventory and warehouse management
  • Understanding of packing and shipping requirements
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments
  • Ability to multi-task within tight deadlines
  • Prior Experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment. Experience in electrical component manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of SAP and proficiency in planning
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of equivalent work experience in in inventory management AND/OR production planning
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 15 years of prior related experience and 5 years warehouse management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proven leadership and management capability
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to attain and maintain a security clearance

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Experience with union workforce
  • Prior experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment. Military contractor / Defense industry background is preferred
  • Objective thinker with a passion for problem solving and the ability to execute challenging tasks to completion
  • Active SECRET clearance
  • Understanding of MMAS, Cycle Counts, and Financial Inventory Reporting
  • Experience leading in a unionized work environment
  • Experience in project management within a production environment
  • Understanding of the manufacturing and warehousing practices of electronic components
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products such as Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
