The Manager, IT Business Solutions Delivery, plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring that systems are reliable, and releases are swift and secure. Lead teams in adopting and refining DevOps practices, overall management, performance and security of our databases, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
A Day in the Life Typically Includes:
- Leading a team of highly skilled DevOps Engineers & Database Administrators to ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between software development and IT operations by providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their professional growth and development
- Setting clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization’s goals
- Overseeing the design, maintenance, and management of tools and infrastructure to support scalable and secure software solutions & ensure good database structures, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and processing of data
- Monitoring and supporting CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment), troubleshooting, and optimizing performance of the applications and infrastructure & databases
- Planning and executing database upgrades, patches, and migrations, minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity
- Developing and implementing database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Familiarity with data extraction and integrations with SaaS platforms
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience managing a team focusing on delivery, performance, and mentoring
- IT, Software Development Life Cycle, and SecDevOps Tools/Concepts, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
- SQL Server experience
- Relational database management systems (SQL Server, Postgres) and their underlying architecture experience
- Database design principles, performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Database backup, recovery procedures, security concepts and implementation methods
- Experience in cloud data platforms and data assimilation for AI
Preferred Qualifications
- Scripting languages (e.g., SQL, PowerShell, Shell)
- PostgreSQL
- AWS Hands-On & DevOps knowledge
- Cloud Certifications
- Salesforce, ServiceNow data frameworks, AWS Data services
Location: US Remote (Dallas, TX; St. Paul, MN, Alpharetta, GA)
