Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, IT is responsible for leading the Corporate IT team to ensure organizational IT, security, and technology operations needs are met, including management of corporate networks, data centers/cloud service providers, equipment, systems, applications, and IT-related policies & procedures. This position works closely with Medsphere (MSC) leadership from all departments/divisions, end users, and customers to understand current and anticipate future needs. The Manager, IT ensures that security risks are mitigated and implements IT policies & systems to comply with current regulations, contractual obligations, and industry best practices. This position is responsible for the company’s internal information technology infrastructure. This position is located in one of Medsphere’s offices (or remote).

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of progressive management experience in IT/DevOps or similar
  • 5+ years of experience with Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft 365
  • 5+ years of experience with Active Directory including DNS and Group Policy
  • Experience with LAN/WAN network design & operations (including Cisco ASAs, IPSec VPNs, wireless networks, firewalling, etc.)
  • Experience with datacenter operations
  • Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems (hardware & software)
  • Ability to educate on process, strategy, and investments to achieve the organization-wide IT strategy
  • Ability to rapidly reevaluate and reorganize priorities in a constantly changing environment
  • Familiarity with security, cloud services, datacenter infrastructure and network optimization to effectively collaborate with all elements of the DevOps organization and Managed IT customers
  • Experience in supporting IT infrastructure and operations integration in merger & acquisition efforts
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities, creative problem solving and resourcefulness and ability to help others solve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and lead cross-functional projects to completion with minimal guidance.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across all segments of the organization
  • Computer science or software engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Current knowledge of latest industry trends; ability to keep current on developing trends and apply them in a meaningful manner
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in the healthcare IT industry is highly preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Manage operations of the IT team and foster a strong customer service mindset
  • Ensure the solutions and support delivered to end users exceed their expectations
  • Ensure datacenters, cloud service providers, support equipment falling under the scope of IT is being properly maintained
  • Identify security vulnerabilities and ensure IT policies are maintained, and strategic solutions increase data safety
  • Optimize customer satisfaction and user experience through focus on optimizing system & network reliability
  • Motivate the team to exceed expectations of internal & external customers
  • Provide strategic direction for infrastructure and end-user support
  • Deliver extraordinary customer service
  • Maintain, develop, and execute backup strategies, disaster recovery and business continuity plan to meet security and compliance requirements
  • Enforce quality standards across the Helpdesk and work cross-functionally with other teams to resolve issues and improve end user satisfaction
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, concisely, and appropriately within a wide range of audiences.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and pursue objectives without supervision.
  • Manage departmental staffing needs including hiring, training, reviews/evaluations, fostering development of skills, etc.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage metrics/KPIs as a basis for continuous improvement
  • Maintain high-level understanding of Medsphere’s product portfolio in order to effectively design infrastructure and policies capable of supporting needs long-term.
  • Maintain deployment, architecture, configuration, and operations documentation
  • Standardize and continually improve processes
  • Provide technical guidance, education, and coaching team managers & members on operations and relevant related topics
  • Follow all best practices and procedures as established by Medsphere
