YOUR SKILLS

  • Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering or a related field. Background in chemistry is advantageous
  • 5+ years of relevant work expierience
  • Know-how in LCA standards & guidances like ISO 14040/14044, ISO 14067, PEF, EPDs, industry guidances (like TFS, Catena-X, Pathfinder)
  • Skilled in performing LCA calculations and generating key performance indicators (KPIs) using LCA tools like SimaPro
  • Ability to effectively communicate LCA concepts and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve alignment on methodologies and results
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence within a multi-matrix organizational structure, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive initiatives forward
  • Business Proficiency in English, German is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for LCA- and PCF-related questions in Henkel
  • Monitor standards, norms, guidelines and their relevance to Henkel LCA (e. g. ISO, PEF, TFS, etc)
  • Together with internal stakeholders, define LCA- methodologies and data governance according to regulations and norms and develop compliant Henkel-reporting formats
  • Advocate in external initiatives, associations and gremia that focus on relevant LCA topics in order to drive Henkel interests, shape reporting standards, and gather scientific insides
  • Conduct LCA calculations according to different methodological standards (e.g. ISO), Interpret & present results according to Henkel-specific reporting format
  • Advice, support and train business partners
  • Provide subject matter expertise for the development of automation- and visualization tools and test their functionality with respect to predefined requirements
  • Work on ad-hoc projects and duties as required by management
