Responsibilities:
- Enforces all safety rules and compliance set forth by government regulations and company policies
- Ensure all hazardous conditions are promptly reported and corrected
- Manages all Capital Maintenance and projects
- Ensures P.O.’s are accurate and approved ahead of time for budgeting maintenance repairs.
- Manages maintenance staff and their training & development
- Ensures maintenance staff performance evaluations are completed on time and accurately
- Holds daily dept meetings for communications and goal setting with maintenance staff.
- Owns / Drives TPM - critical spares, PM’s, Lube, millwright, and maintenance techs
- Build programs for preventive, proactive and predictive maintenance
- Manages maintenance software system
- Owns scheduled maintenance work – plans for necessary resources; needs to have strong project planning skills.
- Accountable for all unplanned equipment downtime
- Lead by example, capable of maintaining and repairing all equipment autonomously if needed
- Enhance the longevity and performance of the equipment through proper maintenance PM program.
- Proactively address any issues that impact machine performance- - goal is to increase OEE
- Keep maintenance records up to date on all equipment
- Interface with vendors on the possible purchase of equipment and facility needs.
- Create and maintain an active spare parts list
- Ensure apprentices are trained and succeed in this program.
- Note: Candidate must be willing to support 24/7 plant activities and may require coming into the plant during off periodically.
