Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position based at our Appin mine, which is near the coastal city of Wollongong, NSW, and approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Sydney.
As the Manager Maintenance, you will be responsible for leading and managing Appin Mine as part of the Leadership Team, driving the development and implementation of strategies for the Maintenance department to achieve key strategic and commercial outcomes.
OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT AREN’T LIMITED TO:
- Collaborate with senior management to define and implement Appin Mine’s strategic direction and commercial outcomes.
- Provide leadership and support to the Maintenance department, ensuring performance aligns with the 24-Month Production Forecast.
- Oversee maintenance planning, project execution, and compliance to achieve equipment availability and schedule targets.
- Develop and maintain the 12-Month Maintenance and Engineering Rolling Plan in line with production forecasts.
- Promote safety and accountability while upholding South32’s values and ensuring cost-effective maintenance execution.
