YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in a related discipline or technical diploma from post-secondary institution.
  • 5-8 years of previous professional service sales cycles in an EPC environment in the domestic oil and gas industry is an asset.
  • 10+ years of relevant client relations experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow client relationships and resulting business volume.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager of Marketing & Business Development is responsible for identifying and developing strategic business relationships with existing and potential clients. As the Manager of Marketing & Business Development, you will take the lead in the development of new business opportunities that supports EPFC’s overall growth strategy. You will work closely with the Executive team, Leads and Project Managers to achieve established sales goals and implement business development initiatives that maximize and grow the EPFC model and generate bottom line revenue for the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Seek new business opportunities by leveraging and developing relationships with potential clients (target clients).
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails.
  • Ongoing client entertainment (lunches, sporting events, concerts, industry events etc.).
  • Develop strategy for client event sponsorship and attendance (ex. golf tournament hole sponsorships etc.).
  • Plan quarterly client events (activities, group dinners, sporting events etc.).
  • Attend client/industry events as required to market EPFC capabilities.
  • Support execution of strategic plan for business development (how will EPFC pursue new opportunities).
  • Set-up meetings/presentations/lunch and learns between potential clients and EPFC discipline leads to extensively communicate EPFC capabilities and experience.
  • Presenting information to clients in a boardroom setting.
  • Offer insight to management on potential new revenue streams. Identify client needs.
  • Oversee and ensure delivery of high-quality proposals including Request for Proposals (RFPs), Expression of Interest (EOI), Request for Quotations (RFQs) etc. that meet client and internal expectations.
  • Coordinate team of designated technical resources to develop the engineering, design, fabrication, construction, and overall project execution inputs for proposals.
  • Seek out and provide client feedback on project performance or bid submissions (Market Intel).
  • Work with internal teams to develop strategy for trade show attendance and representation. Contribute to determining association memberships and sponsorship (ex. COAA, GPAC, PSAC etc.).
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives and identify support required. Develop marketing plan for prospect clients.
  • Update and maintain marketing brochures, client presentations (work with third party Marketing Resources as required).
  • Develop plan for social media and advertising opportunities (brand recognition).
  • Coordinate purchase of EPFC merchandise for clients.
  • Assist in preparation of annual BD budget.
  • Meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Report monthly progress to management team.
