POSITION SUMMARY…
As the Manager, Marketing Production and Continuous Improvement, you’ll strategically oversee and optimize flyer, digest, and print procurement programs for cost reduction. Additionally, you’ll lead vital marketing technology systems, ensuring optimal use and enhancement within the Marketing Communications team. Your critical thinking will streamline processes, identify improvements, and deliver results aligned with organizational goals. You’ll own contract negotiations with vendors, managing budgets, distribution, and marketing plans. Your proactive approach will drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and innovation across marketing production activities.

Responsibilities:
1.Govern analysis and enhancements of flyer/digest programs for efficiency and effectiveness. Identify areas to streamline processes, minimize costs, and elevate quality through strategic enhancements and data-driven optimization. Unlock synergies redefining boundaries, delivering unparalleled customer/stakeholder value.
2.Serve as the authoritative relationship manager for vital technology systems, including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Wrike project management tool. Support in the phasing out and onboarding of future technologies to support marketing functions. Drive marketing capabilities and demonstrate proactive leadership in fostering strategic technology partnerships.
3.Champion the identification of opportunities to utilize existing content and content productions within the Inter-Agency Team (IAT), capitalizing on synergies across all marketing channels. Oversight of conflicting deadlines with a strong ability to assess priorities and pivot as needed.
4.Lead creation, negotiation of detailed print plan/budget in conjunction with Marketing, Finance, vendors; develop comprehensive proposal, negotiate favorable terms, adjust plan as needed to align with evolving requirements.
5.Ownership for the Annual Operating Plan, covering a variety of initiatives. These include Item Price (Flyer), Category Initiatives All Other (Corporate Digest Pages), Walmart Connect Digest Pages (WMC-IP), Ethnic (Flyer Flaps), Grand Opening (for GO Flyer Flaps and ROPs), and Pharmacy Lift (for OTC events). Responsible for consolidating expenses from a range of sources, reconciling the plan, and forecasting Profit & Loss statements for the finance department. This responsibility also extends to conducting follow-ups as needed, ensuring all financial aspects are accurately maintained and communicated effectively.
6.Spearhead comprehensive review of existing processes and technology systems supporting marketing operations, enhancing efficiency through process improvements, system upgrades, or workflow refinements.
7.Oversee and guide the deployment, continual maintenance, and enhancements of vital technology systems. This includes taking charge of the process that ensures these systems are implemented effectively and efficiently. Additionally, provide support for the inception and seamless integration of new technology systems, with a keen eye on the process for a smooth and successful implementation. Exhibit a high level of accountability and autonomous decision-making, reflecting a commitment to technological advancement and continuous improvement.
8.Liaise with US/international to identify any process or system opportunities that could be leveraged for Canadian operations.
