Description:

Location: UCHealth Rangeview - Loveland, CO
Department: Shared Services Credentialing
FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $32.49 - $51.99 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience
Summary:Manages the daily operations of the Medical Staff and Credentialing functions to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
Supports special projects and business analysis as requested.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Required Education: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) within 4 years of hire. Preferred: Dual certification.
  • Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in a health care setting working directly with physicians. 3 years of experience supervising employees.
