WHERE YOU COME IN

We are looking for a Manager, Mid-Level Giving & Legacy to join our team at Make-A-Wish Canada. Reporting to the Director, Mass Marketing, this role will be part of a team responsible for Make-A-Wish® Canada’s mid-level giving program and portfolio/pipeline stewardship, along with planned giving outreach.
The successful candidate will develop innovative and cost-effective programs that are focused on cultivating and stewarding relationships with mid-level donors, fostering a sense of community and ensuring their continued support. They will be responsible for growing the revenue of this portfolio through targeted efforts and donor journey development. They will also champion planned giving initiatives, helping individuals make a lasting impact through wills, trusts, and other planned gifts.
This role can be based out of any MAWC office and is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

  1. Mid-Level Donor Cultivation, Solicitation and Stewardship
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and solicit mid-level donors.
  • Create mass personalized solicitation plans and proposals.
  • Use data and research to tailor subsegments and approaches for successful donations.
  • Manage relationships with new, existing, and prospective mid-level donors.
  • Calendarize and execute stewardship plans, including thank-you notes and impact reports.
  • Maintain regular communication to keep donors informed and engaged.
  • Participate in the Moves Management Committee.
  1. Planned Giving Outreach and Development
  • Identify and qualify prospective planned giving donors.
  • Develop and implement a mass marketing strategy for planned giving.
  • Create educational and compelling communication materials.
  1. Donor Engagement Strategy and Recognition
  • Develop and execute giving society strategies to engage and recognize leadership donors.
  • Organize updates, recognition events, and personalized communication.
  • Provide timely updates about the impact of contributions.
  • Collaborate to create compelling communication materials and engagement initiatives.
  • Work with Mass team to integrate targeted campaigns for donors.
  1. Data Analysis and Fundraising Evaluation
  • Track and analyze donor data to measure fundraising success.
  • Prepare reports on donor engagement and campaign performance.
  • Use data insights to improve fundraising strategies.
