About the Role:

What You’ll Do:
CrowdStrike is seeking a Manager, Machine Learning Software Engineering to join the team. This critical role in the data science organization will be responsible for leading ML deployments and delivering the next gen engine technology to millions of endpoints and in the cloud. If you are highly technical and driven but also enjoy leading and working cross functionally, this is the role for you. As an Engineering Manager, You will help drive and deliver on the technical strategy and roadmap and will be responsible for mentoring the team. CrowdStrike is growing rapidly and you will be instrumental in the hiring, retaining and growth of our world class Engineers. You will work cross functionally with your peers in the data science group as well as leaders in sensor and cloud engineering teams. We are a remote first company so you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What you will need
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity.
- Experience in Rust, C, C++, Python..
- Comfortable with Windows, macOS and Linux platforms
- Experience with on-premise software development methodologies
- Experience with shipping high quality software on endpoints.
- Familiarity with ML deployments on endpoints and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with file formats like PE, ELF, Mach-O, MS Office, Zip, Packers etc.
- Familiarity with machine learning and feature engineering
- Ability to work with a multi-time zone team (US, UK and India)
- Demonstrated track record of building a strong core engineering team including management
- 10+ years of software engineering experience in all phases of a software development lifecycle
- 3+ years of hands-on management experience leading Engineers
- Solid design and problem solving skills with demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security and performance
- Strong cross-group collaboration and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work with a variety of roles including product management, support and sales engineering
- Demonstrated ability to attract and hire talent and grow the team rapidly
- Experience working with remote teams and individuals while ensuring agility and code velocity
- Ability and desire to being hands on as well as leading the team and collaborating cross functionally

- Exposure to/experience with cybersecurity products.
- Demonstrated track record of hiring strong engineers.
- Exposure to/experience with developing software using RUST programming language

CrowdStrike Canada ULC is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in Canada is $130,000 - $210,000 CAD per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
