Description:

We are looking for a motivated, proactive and organized project manager to join our exciting New Business team. The Business Development Manager will support the functioning of our critical New Business Department, through their effective organization, people management and project management skills. They will support the BD department across all aspects of the pitch process, from prospecting to RFIs, RFPs and presentations. They will directly manage the Business Development Associate while also taking ownership of select pitch projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take part in the full new business pitch cycle, from inbound RFI stage through Final Presentations
  • Expected to lead small to medium sized pitches (once trained properly)
  • Daily duties include writing and proofing presentations, RFIs and agency collateral materials, maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Create and organize business development department pitch materials include RFI library
  • Assist in preparations for pitch meetings and associated events, with a willingness to provide in-person support
  • Keep stock of inventory of GroupM collateral and presentation materials, and help renew orders when needed
  • Fully understand GroupM branding guidelines and serve as a “brand ambassador” for the agency, occasionally working with design and production teams to produce pitch collateral
  • Collaborate with audio-visual on all pitch video productions, including off-site pitch sites
  • Coordinate travel and booking hotel, conference rooms for pitch meetings, working with the Sr Associate and with administrative support to create an efficient schedule, and travel with the team, as needed (<10%)
  • Handling all internal reporting requests to ensure accurate and timely internal and external reporting on the state of GroupM New Business growth
  • Collect and analyze regular reports, presentations and projects, as well as ad-hoc requests as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Effective written communications skills, including proofreading for grammar and spelling, meticulous attention to detail • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a professional manner in all dealing with prospective clients, coworkers and managers • Ability to project manage in a deadline-driven team environment • Ability to manage a workflow, to ‘manage up’ and to train the Sr Associate position for

succession planning • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; concentration in Media/ Marketing/Advertising/Communications preferred
  • 3-5 years prior experience in business development and or a media agency
  • Experience utilizing third party media research sites such Pathmatics, and Kantar (pulling Ad Spend Reports) preferred but not required

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
