The Manager of Business Planning and Performance is a leadership role that combines strategic oversight, performance management, and governance expertise. This position focuses on managing and coaching a diverse team to drive organizational goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement. As a key member of the Department of Integrated Infrastructure Services, you will play a vital role in leading and mentoring professionals to achieve organizational goals.
You will be responsible for aligning departmental strategies with the City’s overall objectives, developing policies, overseeing risk and compliance, and enhancing data governance.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge, training and/or education in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in strategic planning and strategic/enterprise risk management within a large, complex organization including experience leading, managing and supervising high performing teams
  • Demonstrated experience in program and policy development
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment with competing deadline

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
  • Develop and implement departmental strategies and operational plans that align with the City’s strategic goals
  • Oversee performance management frameworks, ensuring effective measurement and continuous improvement
  • Manage risk and compliance, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations
  • Enhance data governance and provide performance insights to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and integration of strategic plans
  • Lead the deployment of the business mandate, including improvements and enhancements while providing leadership and support for implementation across the Branch
  • Provide strategy, advice, expertise and facilitation to departments, branches and sections in alignment with corporate strategy and planning
  • Utilize compelling visualizations showing performance and impact for decision-makers and stakeholder
  • Developing reports and dashboards to ensure data is readily available

Qualifications:
