Description:

The Manager of Campaigns and Digital Fundraising role supports and drives fundraising campaigns that help The Mustard Seed (TMS) maintain core programs such as food services, shelter, wellness and other poverty reduction measures. The role requires an individual who is highly organized and entrepreneurial with years of fundraising and project management experience. The successful candidate should be results-drive but enjoy working with a diverse team in creating assets, content, audience segmentation, data planning and optimizing return on investment for digital and direct mail campaigns that are directed to volunteers and donors. This position will be responsible for Managing and Supervising a team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 2-3 years of Supervision/Managerial experience
  • Degree in Marketing and/or relevant experience
  • Be a humble and team player
  • Maintain a servant heart and attitude toward fellow team at TMS
  • Create and analyze reports
  • Self starter in accomplishing timelines and deadlines for campaign annual plan
  • Present reports, analyses and strategy suggestions
  • Be self-motivated to organize work and meet deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and especially Excel. Some experience with Adobe is beneficial but not required.

  • Excellence in leadership, communication, project management, organization, problem solving and time management
  • Understanding of marketing and fundraising, especially for the Christian and non-secular audiences
  • Strong consistency and attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills using diplomacy, tact, patience, and professional courtesy
  • Proficiency in English writing and grammar
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license, and $2,000,000 in liability insurance

    This position requires the use of a company vehicle, and/or personal vehicle for company use. The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence, maintain $2M Vehicle Liability Insurance on the personal vehicle being used, and will need to consent to a driver’s abstract request.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and coaching to the Campaign Fundraising team
  • Recruit, orient, train and performance manage direct reports
  • Fosters spiritual engagement within the Campaign Fundraising team
  • Create integrated marketing campaigns based on donor segmentation and program needs to fundraise a targeted campaign amount.
  • Creating and presenting reports, analyses, and strategies for improving fundraising campaigns through multiple fundraising channels including mail, digital, contact centre, legacy giving for Development leadership.
  • Work with Development leaders and TMS team members to improve campaign content, appeals, and solicitation strategies, including coordinating meetings, decision-making processes. Plans and the implementation of strategy decisions for campaign optimization.
  • Campaign Planning, evaluating, and recording direct mail and email testing with development leaders including analyzing return on investment.
  • Reviewing/Facilitating campaign fundraising pieces throughout the production process, especially when new strategies are being implemented and when campaign fundraising marketing pieces are varied for specific audiences and segments.
  • Support TMS direct mail list segmentation; strategizes and implements list segmentation improvements; and executes selections for each mailing with Data team in alignment with leadership
  • Develop campaign brief outcomes and goals for development leadership team and city leader
  • Works with the Communications team writers, designers, advertising strategists and technical experts to generate top-notch, engaging fundraising campaigns content to support goals.
  • Ensures overall quality control of all digital assets. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of deliverables including multi-channel testing plans, campaign reports and changes to campaign deliverables
  • Required to abide by all Health & Safety protocols including completing a report for all incidents that occur, including near misses, in a timely manner.
