Under the direction of the General Manager of Community Services, this position will lead the Cultural Services Division, including managing all day-to-day activities and operations, coaching and mentoring staff, maintaining and strengthening community partnerships, and leading divisional strategic and business planning to meet the City’s goal of delivering programs and services that enhance community well-being. The Manager of Cultural Services will be a key part of the departmental leadership team.
This position manages services and programs including but not limited to cultural facilities (including Inlet Theatre and 2709 Esplanade Artist Studios), public art projects (city and developer), community cultural group liaison, city-led and community-led special events & festivals, filming coordination, street banner program, and cultural grants. This position plays a strong role in providing Emergency Support Services (ESS) to Port Moody residents.
You are a proven leader and an accomplished professional with experience in arts and cultural services management, preferably within the public sector. You have strong strategic planning, communication, and facilitation skills, with an ability to anticipate and meet the ongoing needs of the community.
