EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- The required knowledge and skills for this position would have been obtained through the successful completion of a Bachelor?s Degree in Information Technology or related field combined with extensive and progressive IT experience in a complex environment and experience in highly responsible leadership roles with a project management focus;
- Ten (10) years? experience managing IT teams delivering information systems support, network infrastructure support and related service delivery;
- Ten (10) years? experience managing IT teams in an application support/development environment

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Manager of Information Technology is accountable for managing the development, delivery and support of business applications and website services for the portfolio of departments and applications of NLSchools, and ensuring that all appropriate documentation is developed, testing and training is carried out, and disaster recovery plans are in place. They are responsible for direct supervision of frontline professional staff and providing leadership and direction to the application team that provide services to multiple NLSchools departments.
This position also assists the Director with network and infrastructure support through staff management, recruitment, and planning activities to ensure the professional delivery of a vast array of network services required for the academic and administrative computing facilities of NLSchools, including but not limited to WAN-LAN-PC solutions and delivery, data center maintenance and support, WAN-LAN servers and related network appliances, desktop support services, database administration, asset tracking, virtual server deployment, cloud-based solutions, enterprise backup and recovery, etc. This position contributes to the development and ongoing improvement of NLShools business strategies, processes, and works with other departments to ensure network service continuity and with appropriate communications to all end-users. This position also provides support to ensure consistent focus on network and systems service and application delivery and availability, and provides leadership through coaching, training, empowering and facilitating IT professionals working in a team environment to ensure work priorities and timelines are met and service delivery levels are effective.
