Description:
NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO - SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects and strategic initiatives in a tertiary education or similar environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strategic Thinking and Planning
- PMP certification is preferred (but not essential).

As Manager of Projects and Strategic Initiatives at Ara you will be responsible for leading and overseeing a portfolio of high-impact projects that align with the institution’s Vision 2030 and strategic goals. You will have advanced project and programme management skills, strategic planning, and the ability to lead a team of project management and business analyst professionals.
The Manager of Projects and Strategic Initiatives ensures the delivery of projects on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Additionally, the role involves managing strategic initiatives that drive sustainability, organizational growth, and development, ensuring they are integrated and aligned with the broader strategic direction of Ara.
