Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years relevant professional experience in a municipal finance or related environment
- Undergraduate University Degree in Business or related discipline
- Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation, or an approved equivalent
- Working knowledge of Great Plains and OPTA (On-line Property Tax Analysis) or relevant financial software.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Extensive knowledge of the Municipal Act, Assessment Act, Assessment Act and Local Improvement Regulation.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project/time management, problem solving, negotiation and report writing skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with constant interruptions.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, staff leadership and management skills including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
- Familiarity with FMW budgeting or Citywide Asset Management software considered an asset

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services/Treasurer, the Manager of Taxation and Revenue/Deputy Treasurer is responsible for overseeing Taxation Clerks and supporting Finance clerks and Financial Analyst positions. This involves day-to-day scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and consistent customer service support while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
