BA Wind is responsible for the development, construction and operation of wind power onshore and offshore as well as other non-hydro renewable activities like solar and batteries. We manage the maintenance, operation and continuous improvement of wind generation assets safely and with the highest levels of availability and profitability. We also perform the structuring and execution of project partnerships in accordance with overall wind strategy.
The Environmental and Sustainability unit (EnSu) within BA Wind is a centralized unit supporting our business activities across onshore, offshore, solar, batteries & hydrogen with the aim of lifting sustainability into every aspect of our business and facilitating co-existence of renewable energy development with society and a rich natural environment.

We are looking for a Manager of the Sustainable Design & Sustainable Procurement team in the Environment & Sustainability Unit withing our Business Area Wind.

Your responsibilities as Manager of the Sustainable Design & Sustainable Procurement team

• report directly to the director of the Environment & Sustainability Unit within the People Culture & Standards department and heading a team of Environment & Sustainability specialists
• be the point of contact for environmental responsible & sustainable asset and component/product design and the sustainable procurement of goods & services within Business Area (BA) Wind
• strive towards becoming a frontrunner in sustainability throughout the full life cycle of our assets thereby supporting the BA Wind renewable energy growth ambition
• assure the quality of the support provided by his/her team, in consultation with his/her manager and in accordance with the targets, processes and guidelines so as to take any necessary corrective measures and to guarantee the quality.
• analyse and monitor the operational support to the Onshore, Offshore & Solar & Batteries business units for environmental responsible & sustainable asset and component/product design and the sustainable procurement of goods & services and initiate and put through relevant improvements, in accordance with the environment & suitability objectives, so as to improve the efficiency and quality of the team
• ensure that periodic reports, both quantitative and qualitative, are made, in accordance with set rules and procedures

Qualifications

Your Profile as Manager of the Sustainable Design & Procurement team

• Bachelor or Master degree in an environmental field
• 2-3 years of experience in team lead position
• At least 5 years of experience within an Environmental support organization for renewable energy projects
• Operational experience with Onshore & Offshore wind and preferred also in Solar & Batteries
• Fluent English language
• Be passionate about finding design solutions to minimize environmenal impacts, facilitate via procurement of the required goods & services to ensure the continous growth of the renewable energy industry in coexistence with society and a rich natural environment.
