Responsibilities:

In the longer term, the purpose of the role also includes:

  • The design and implementation of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) system and once embedded, its oversight and management, and developing tools and techniques to increase the level and depth of information available from the system
  • The management of the Business Process Management Standard and custodianship of the Business Process Repository
  • Supporting the Crisis Management approach across AMP, including facilitation of crisis management scenario exercises, and reporting insights and outcomes to relevant management and Board forums

Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role:

  • Relevant experience and a proven track record in a risk management, internal / external audit, or assurance role, within a large financial services business
  • Effective understanding of the financial services industry, relevant regulators (e.g. ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC), and current and proposed financial services regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships at a range of levels.
  • Critical thinker who can work autonomously and enjoys working with a blank piece of paper in designing/ re-designing things to cater for various audiences
  • Effective understanding of Business Continuity Management
  • Acts autonomously on most decisions. Requires guidance on more complex judgements
  • Applies sound understanding of a specialised discipline and basic to intermediate understanding of other disciplines
  • Applies competent understanding of own team and Division (ERM Wealth), the overall Group, and its competitive environment
  • Sets and achieves operational targets, objectives or service standards with a short to medium term focus, that directly impact the results of the team.
  • Applies emerging technical capability within own operational area/department
  • Analyse both routine and varied issues of differing complexity and modifies working methods/processes in own job, sometimes without the benefit of defined procedures
  • Applies good problem-solving skills as scope of issues may be only vaguely defined or difficult.
  • Ability to work cohesively with senior stakeholders when dealing with complex issues
  • Ability to effectively influence and engage a broad range of stakeholders
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to inform or influence specific audiences
  • Sound organisational planning and implementation skills, and demonstrated ability to apply them in rapidly changing business environments
  • Effective analytical and reporting skills
  • Design, lead, execute or oversee and challenge scenario testing
  • Effective in Microsoft Visio and Business Process Mapping Notation (BPMN2.0
