Job Title: Manager, Operations & Regulatory Affairs
Department: Flight Operations
Location: Vancouver, BC, Calgary, AB, Edmonton, AB, Toronto, ON
Work Arrangement: This role is primarily based in the office environment.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Manager, Operations & Regulatory Compliance supports the VP of Flight Operations and oversees all Flight Operations compliance standards and Operation Specifications. This role interfaces with regulatory authorities to assist in the development, implementation, and documentation of new standards and procedures, ensuring the highest degree of safety and efficiency for the airline. As a key leadership position, the Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and managing the airline’s interactions with regulatory bodies at the federal, provincial, and international levels.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related Aviation Management discipline (preferred)
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the aviation industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian aviation laws, including the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), and international regulatory frameworks such as ICAO, FAA regulations, and IATA guidelines.
- Proven experience interacting with government agencies and regulatory bodies, both domestically and internationally.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Analytical skills, creative thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to demonstrate a great sense of diplomacy and tact without compromising objectives.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in regulatory compliance tools and software.
- Understanding of risk management principles and their application in aviation operations.
