About You
We’re seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager, Organisational Development (OD) to join our Capability & Employee Experience team.
In this critical role, you will lead the design and implementation of data-driven and evidence-based initiatives that positively impact the University’s culture, support high levels of employee engagement, and improve overall performance.
A key focus of this role will be delivering on the staff engagement survey and strategic employee experience projects, ensuring initiatives are grounded in actionable insights and aligned with the organisation’s cultural aspirations. You will work closely with stakeholders across the University to understand strategic goals, influence cultural transformation, and foster an environment that enhances employee engagement and performance.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:
- Proven ability to design and successfully implement customer focused strategic cultural/employee experience or employee engagement initiatives at an organisational level. Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to use data to inform actions, projects and programs.
- Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative partnerships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders to support the University’s objectives. Work with full competence to identify potential stakeholders, analyse their expectations, and develop strategies for managing stakeholders and their expectations.
- Proven ability to manage organisational wide projects with sound project and change management, research, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated dedication to staying current in organisational development trends and principles accompanied by the ability to effectively diagnose needs and recommend, design, and deliver improvement strategies at organisational, team, or individual levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with full competence to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans by means of clear and effective verbal communications. Experience in consultation and presenting to large groups would be highly regarded.
- Proven ability to apply employee experience, creative thinking and continuous improvement principles to OD that deliver quality consultancy and solutions that support staff in realising their potential. Experience in human centred design is desirable.
- Experienced in the use of CultureAmp or similar employee voice platform advantageous.

The OD and Employee Experience team, to which this position reports works across a range of organisational development disciplines with a strong focus on strategic priorities as identified in the People Strategy.
