JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager, Partnerships, to lead and expand the business development efforts for our non-profit. This role will play a crucial part in advancing Foresight’s objectives by securing key business sponsorships for cleantech events, funding for our Acceleration program, and clients in need of Innovation Challenges and Adoption Sprints. Utilizing the Moves Management fundraising philosophy, the Manager, Partnerships will own a prospect/donor portfolio requiring ongoing cultivation, cultivation, and solicitation efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in high-level sales/fundraising, relationship building, and strategic planning, with an established network in cleantech and entrepreneurship experience to drive immediate results.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Seasoned Professional: Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnership management, fundraising, community building, or other external-facing strategic role, with a strong interest or background in cleantech and sustainability.
  • Strategic Partnership and Networking: Proven experience in developing partnership strategies, negotiating agreements, and building strong, productive relationships with clients, industry contacts, and stakeholders. Adept at leveraging an existing network in clean energy, innovation, and/or entrepreneurship to drive business growth.
  • Project Management and Multitasking: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, juggle internal and external relationships, and meet tight deadlines with a high level of professionalism.
  • Communication and Persuasion: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to craft persuasive proposals and presentations, and the ability to bring strategic clarity and creativity to ambiguous situations.
  • Analytical and Investigative Mindset: Naturally investigative with a growth mindset who can identify key contacts within complex organizations and analyze market trends to make data-driven decisions in order to attract funding from private and public sectors alike.
  • Collaborative and Professionalism: Collaborative, personable, and professional with a positive outlook. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proactive and Results-Driven: Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong drive for success. Skilled in using CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) to maintain accurate records and enhance relationship management.
    JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Remote
    RATE: $75,000- $85,000, plus benefits (key is best fit and experience for the role)

Responsibilities:

  • Sponsorship and Partnership: Prospect, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward potential sponsors and partners aligned with Foresight’s goals. Secure sponsorships for events, programs, and Innovation Challenges.
  • Strategic Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term relationships with key stakeholders such as venture capital firms, government agencies, professional service providers, social-impact investors, and corporations. Ensure alignment of partner needs with organizational offerings to create mutual value.
  • Revenue Growth and Proposal Development: Develop strategies to achieve revenue targets and create compelling sponsorship proposals that accelerate the adoption of net-zero and support cleantech entrepreneurs.
  • Market and Industry Analysis: Conduct prospect research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential partners. Stay informed about industry and regional developments to keep Foresight’s offerings competitive.
  • Collaboration and CRM Management: Work closely with event, marketing, and project teams to coordinate activities and manage partnerships. Maintain CRM systems (HubSpot) to track leads and provide regular updates and revenue forecasts to leadership.
  • Negotiation and Representation: Lead negotiations, closing deals with professionalism and integrity. Represent Foresight at industry events, promoting initiatives and supporting diversity and inclusion in outreach efforts.
