Description:
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years’ experience in technology & software development
- 5+ years’ experience in patent filing activities
- 2+ years’ experience in Business or Product management
- 2+ years’ experience in a startup or focused entrepreneurial experience
- Proven ability to establish and execute large enterprise scale projects.
- Proven ability to generate and obtain approval of new Business opportunities.
- Proven experience as an innovator and creative thinker quick at connecting-the-dots and understanding the value opportunities in the innovation.
- Experience working closely with senior leadership, group managers, and IP professional to develop patent business opportunities and skills to present and influence all audiences.
- Understanding of data modelling, AI models, and presenting complex Data to a senior audience is a strong asset for this position.
- Experience in design thinking methodology, design thinking-based activities and awareness of patent process is an asset.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Science or technical undergraduate degree preferred, post graduate degree is an asset.

Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Developing processes and artefacts to support the patent strategy for the enterprise and each major LOBs: patent portfolio management, freedom to operate.
- Work with OPI team members to develop deep level data analytics against TD’s product and project portfolio to identify and realize new opportunities within the TD Patent program.
- Responsible for establishing and developing relationships with Leaders across the enterprise to continue to capture TD’s innovation.
- Assist with maintaining TD’s leadership position in the US and Canadian markets.
- Work with the Senior Manager, Patent Portfolio Management to ensure that we are capturing the right innovation to help manage the strategic vision of TD.
