Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Global Payroll Manager, US, the Australia Manager - Payroll will lead a team of mine site and corporate payroll staff responsible for input to payroll processing as well as providing expert understanding and technical ability to navigate and simplify complex industrial legislation and advice while providing exceptional service delivery. This crucial role ensures accurate and timely payroll execution for employees across Peabody’s Australian platform, maintaining strict adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. As the Australia payroll subject matter expert, serve as the point of contact to review, diagnose and resolve queries in a timely manner.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Deliver robust customer service. Build and manage relationships with employees and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Support HR, site management and legal during negotiations and contract renewals by assisting with data, analysis and recommendations for system feasibility for time and attendance and payroll processing
- Oversees various internal and external audit processes
- Manage all tax related processing and respond to any issues or initiatives arising from AUS legislative requirements
- Creates and maintains strong cross functional relationships with all sites and corporate office and prepare timely, comprehensive and insightful reports/communication for key stakeholders across all sites
- Partner with all HR team members and mine sites key stakeholders to provide clarification/guidance on process changes, support and feedback when required
- Identifies continuous improvements and efficiencies. Partners with internal and external partners to develop new and fine tune existing processes.
- Analyse data to provide meaningful insight and recommendations to leadership.
The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a Monday to Friday basis, working from our Fortitude Valley office with working from home options. Peabody offers flexible start / finish times and ‘redistributed working week’ giving employees flexibility to finish at noon on Friday’s.
