About the role
The People and Culture (P&C) division is responsible for delivering contemporary, innovative, and responsive people and culture solutions to support organisational customer service outcomes and strategic objectives in an era of major digital transformation and change.
As the Manager of People and Culture, you will lead a team dedicated to delivering a comprehensive range of workforce management-related services. Your leadership will ensure the effective implementation of case management, policy development, workforce planning, talent acquisition, business partnering, and HR advisory services. You will provide specialist advice to executive and senior management, fostering a capable, engaged, and healthy workforce while identifying and mitigating people-related risks.
This is a temporary full-time opportunity from 23 September 2024 to 7 February 2025, with possible extension, based in Brisbane City. To learn more, please download the attached role description.
About you
You are a leader with solid expertise in operational people and culture services. Your ability to lead others to achieve outcomes, coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills, will enable you to build productive relationships and contribute positively to team culture.
Responsibilities:
- Extensive experience in providing expert HR advice and consultancy services across employment relations, performance management, talent acquisition, and workforce planning.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team of HR professionals, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and resilient culture.
- Strong capability to develop, implement, and manage HR policies, procedures, and systems that align with organisational objectives and public sector workforce standards.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting business operations and enhancing organisational effectiveness.
- Experience in developing and delivering workforce reports and dashboards, using data insights for evidence-based decision-making.
While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, an undergraduate or higher degree qualification in human resources or a related discipline is highly regarded. Candidates should demonstrate experience in managing complex HR issues, strategic project management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to deliver strategic priorities.
