Our client Houselink & Mainstay Community Housing is hiring a new Manager, People and Culture to join their team in Toronto, ON (Hybrid) on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

As the Manager, People and Culture, you will be responsible for shaping and implementing the organization’s HR strategies. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will lead initiatives that support talent acquisition, employee engagement, health and safety, DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access), and total rewards. Working within a highly collaborative HR team, you’ll play a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment where employees are empowered to achieve organizational goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and development.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management, providing guidance on HR policies, workforce planning, and labour relations.
  • Support culture-building initiatives and promote values of respect and inclusion across all levels of the organization.
  • Oversee health and safety programs, ensuring compliance and safeguarding staff well-being.
  • Manage the HR team, including Payroll & Benefits, HR Generalist, and Systems Coordinator, ensuring effective HR service delivery.
  • Drive organizational learning and development programs, identifying opportunities for employee growth.
  • Collaborate with managers to design and implement engagement programs that align with organizational goals.
