POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager of People & Culture (P&C) Operations is a strategic leader responsible for enhancing and executing the vision of the People & Culture department. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, this position ensures that human resources policies and programs align with organizational goals and supports a dynamic, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture. The role leads a distributed team, including an HR Generalist, HR Advisor, and Payroll & Benefits Specialist based in Ontario and PEI. Position based out of Leamington Ontario.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years’ experience in HR management or related roles, with a proven track record of operational excellence. Experience working in a manufacturing facility is considered an asset.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing, geographically dispersed team.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and relationships across all levels of the organization.
- HR Expertise: Deep knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance standards.
- Project Management: Experience leading complex HR projects and initiatives with measurable results.
- Benefits Management: Demonstrated experience in managing comprehensive benefits programs, including EAPs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS platforms and technology tools; experience with ADP is highly valued.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the People & Culture department, ensuring efficient HR service delivery across locations in Ontario and PEI.
- Policy & Compliance: Develop, implement, and manage HR policies, procedures, and systems that align with company objectives and comply with regulatory standards.
- Benefits Program Management: Oversee the company’s benefits program, including managing the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to ensure employee well-being and engagement.
- Payroll & Benefits Support: Act as a backup for the Payroll & Benefits Specialist, ensuring the seamless management of compensation processes.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the Director of P&C to design and execute initiatives that enhance employee engagement, talent development, and performance management.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a distributed team, fostering professional growth and operational excellence. Provide guidance on best practices to ensure a cohesive and collaborative work environment across regions.
- Employee Relations: Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans, with a focus on fair and equitable outcomes.
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform strategic decisions and improve organizational effectiveness.
- Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives, promoting adaptability and continuous improvement across the company.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
- Diversity & Inclusion: Champion a workplace culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, encouraging innovative thinking and respect for diverse perspectives.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Facilitate communication and alignment across departments to achieve organizational goals.
