The Performance Measurement Manager oversees performance reporting and analysis in support of the Capital Partners. Primary responsibilities include overseeing the CP Performance Team and internal and external performance reporting. He/She will be responsible for collecting, calculating, measuring, and analyzing investment performance for portfolios and composites and disseminating results to Marketing, Client Portfolios, Relationship Managers, Senior Management, Compliance, and the Investment Research Group. He/She will verify the integrity of data used for performance reporting to ensure accurate performance returns. Support Relationship Management teams and Marketing in responding to client periodic performance reviews and official RFPs. He/She will create composite definitions, create composite groups, create and update composite rules, composite maintenance processes, develop internal composite related controls and assist with the creation of marketing material.

Support client and prospect performance reporting

  • Act as subject matter expert on all things related to performance measurement and reporting
  • Ensure various client projects and requests are completed in a timely fashion and meet or exceed standards and are in line with industry standards
  • Research and respond to internal and external client inquiries. Inquires may be related to unexpected investment portfolio performance results. May need to research the data that went into calculating performance (underlying accounting, cash flows, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors
  • Subject matter expert on investment performance
  • Maintain composites and provide quarterly performance reporting
  • Audit performance results, research accounting data, liaise with various groups on proper accounting input

Client Service / Relationship Management

  • Develop strong working relationships with the Front Office Relationship Teams and other PB support groups
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for all issues
  • Use sound judgment to resolve problems

Management of the team

  • Manage the day to day activities of the team
  • Hire, onboard, coach and provide feedback
  • Semi-annual review process

Process/Productivity Improvement

  • Gain efficiencies to improve individual and team productivity
  • Gain an understanding of the big picture – how specific function impacts the firm
  • Communicate professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues to minimize risk and exposure
  • Assess current processes and provide suggestions for streamlining when necessary
  • Work on large projects as needed

Salary Range
Base Salary: $100,000-$130,000 (New York Metro)
Base Salary: $80,000-$90,000 (Utica)
BBH’s compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
