SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years’ experience in Government Intelligence, law enforcement or global security operations
- Substantial experience in physical security risk management and compliance to industry and legislative standards.
- Proven experience managing security incidents & conducting post incident reviews.
- Track record of enabling business to evolve and innovate to combat new threats/challenges.
- Proven experience influencing senior leader on physical security matters.
- Enhanced written and verbal communication skills and the ability to produce reporting pertaining to the current threat landscape.
- Ability to perform functions across Physical Security, outside of core responsibilities, so as to reduce key person dependency.
- Ability to lead a team, including mentoring and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the management of real time security incidents such as holdups, aggressive customers, break & enters, suspicious activity, emergency response incidents and medical emergencies;
- Provide operational leadership, guidance and support to NABs Physical Security Operations Centre (PSOC).
- Contribute to and assist in the delivery of the Physical Security strategy;
- Provide a consultancy and education service regarding physical security risk management;
- Develop and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders including NAB business units, vendors, law enforcement and private sector peers;
- Develop and maintain key documentation relating to processes, work instructions, quality assurance, staff training/assessment and reporting on business operations;
- Review and amend Physical Security policies, processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and alignment with best practices and relevant standards;
- Ensure the effective management and workflow of service and maintenance requests including tracking and reporting of job creation, site attendance, works completion and follow up of issues;
- Proactively monitoring risk and assurance requirements within agreed Risk Appetite and managing non-compliance in a timely manner.
- Effectively manage NABs contracted vendors to ensure appropriate levels of service delivery in areas such as staff recruitment, onboarding and development of embedded resources;
