SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Oversee and mentor the Planning Group to ensure a high level of proficiency and development.
- Create and maintain level loaded Master Production Schedule
- Ensure a consistent handoff of planning information to production via the production Planner(s).
- Maintain a valid capacity requirements plan that supports the master production schedule
- Identify and manage bottlenecks and capacity issues with the Production planning team, co-ordinate internally and externally the resolution of the issues
- Establish and monitor ERP system parameters, including safety stock levels for finished goods and raw material inventories
- Lead daily/weekly/monthly Production Schedule meetings
- Liaise with Repair and Development Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Production Engineering and customer service to achieve on time delivery at optimum cost
- Review and action exception messages on a weekly basis
- Lead the development of scheduling tools to increase the level of automation and reduce the manual nature of the Scheduling function
- Provide guidance and expertise to develop shop team knowledge relative to shop schedule optimization
- Work with Sr. Leaders and Sales to reserve capacity as necessary for specific jobs or customers
- Create weekly/monthly reports and KPIs
- Maintain a high standard of professional knowledge, ethics and practices when dealing with customers, suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors and other key stakeholders of the companyConduct oneself in a professional manner that reflects integrity and respect towards customers, suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors and other key stakeholders of the company

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree or equivalent experience in a technical field along with at least 3-5 years of experience in planning/scheduling in a customized mixed model production shop
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive thinker with attention to detail.
- Ability to change direction and manage multiple relationships, responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
- Ability to motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed expectations.
- Extensive knowledge and expert level user of Microsoft Office tools e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
- Strong planning, organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
- Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others, has exceptional interpersonal-communication skills.
