Responsibilities:
Provide strategic oversight of project management practises and monitor interdependences across the portfolio to ensure all programs and projects deliver benefits and are aligned with the objectives of the Strategic Plan.
Ensure the implementation and maturing of a strong fit-for-purpose project governance framework across all projects including appropriate documentation, regular reporting, risk, issue and dependency management and compliance with regulatory standards.
Monitor project adherence to timelines, budgets, and scope through regular reporting, internal health checks and reviews.
Deliver strategic and operational reporting against the portfolio to provide visibility of portfolio and project performance and identify areas for escalation.
Build and support the clients project and program management capability maturity through informal coaching and mentoring to support the effective delivery of the portfolio.
Provide strategic and operational advice on best-practise and fit-for-purpose approaches to project and portfolio management.
Implement quality assurance activities for programs and projects ensuring proactive corrective action is identified, documented and actioned to support the effective delivery of the portfolio.
Provide effective leadership to the PMO including resource planning and management to achieve performance expectations to deliver a high standard of performance required from a PMO.
Support the Leadership Team to successfully achieve operational and strategic goals, as well as promote the vision, purpose, and values of the organisation.
Promote a culture of excellence within the Transformation Office and the broader organisation.
Participate in divisional and organisational projects and undertakes tasks as directed and required.
Additional duties and tasks as required to support the ELT and the broader organisation.
