We are looking for a Manager, Port Operations to join our Logistics Sourcing team for a permanent position in Western and Central Europe.

What you will do

  • Ensure UPM’s products proper handling, storage and shipping conditions
  • Ensure most effective port operations for UPM
  • Port operator supplier management
  • Develop current operation and handling methods
  • Supervise UPM’s products handling and port operations
  • Participate vessel stowage planning process and manage equipment fleet
  • Take care of logistics subcontractor’s quality performance follow-up and KPI’s reporting
  • Support UPM’s businesses globally in logistics technical issues
  • Transport risk management, damage prevention and transport damage claim handling

Who you are

  • You have minimum Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field and at least 5-10 years of working experience in maritime and port industry
  • You have good solution-oriented mindset and analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You have dynamic way of working and you are fully independent in given tasks
  • You are good at working in a team and you have good social and communication skills, including presentation skills
  • You have business-oriented mindset and understanding of logistics chain
  • You have flexibility with working hours and travel, position requires travel +50 days per year and driving license
  • You have fluent in written and spoken English, other language skills are an asset
  • Knowledge in forest industry environment is considered as an asset

We have global port network which we are operating neither time-chartered vessels or with another shipping partners.
