Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field and/or a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the postal industry.
  • Strong business relationship and partnerships skill set.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills, including the ability to lead, influence, negotiate and achieve results through others who are not direct reports.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and decision-making skills
  • Results and detail oriented
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to cope with irregular or multiple work demands and meet established deadlines
  • Team player who effectively integrates, motivates, and builds relationships with cross-functional team members (local or remote), sponsors, key stakeholders, executives, and other individuals or organizations involved with or affected by the project.
  • Motivated self-starter who can work with minimal direction and supervision
  • Ability to apply strategic thinking and demonstrate understanding of requirements to execute.
  • Must be receptive to flexible work hours and travel expectations
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including proficient knowledge of Excel, PowerPoin

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for all aspects of programs and projects regarding postal services between Air Canada and member countries of the Universal Postal Union.
  • Analyses, evaluates and sets targets for growth with existing global postal authorities partners.
  • Develops growth plans to prospect and onboard new postal authorities.
  • Co-leads the negotiation and execution of postal agreements.
  • Monitors individual postal account and overall program performance across all geographies, while working closely with Air Canada Cargo regional sales and operations colleagues to ensure alignment and program success.
  • Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for the short-term as well as long-term.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships at all levels with key personnel within Postal Authorities & consolidator customers.
  • Liaises continuously with customers in a multi-level hierarchy to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Works in close collaboration with the Analytics and CRM teams to build robust reporting tools and dashboards to drive actionable business and industry insights.
  • Provides guidance to operations and procedures on industry best practices.
  • Prepares budgets and coordinates arrangements as necessary for identified industry conferences.
  • Stays current around all upcoming Postal Authorities’ RFPs and leads and initiates all internal activities with all stakeholders to prepare and participate in these RFP.
  • Works closely with the Cargo Postal Manager and Cargo procedures to ensure customer success.
