Reporting to the Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy, this role supports pricing managers/merchants with the implementation of the pricing strategies into merchandising teams and support investments decisions to implement the strategies. The Manager will be a subject matter expert on developing pricing and promotional strategies for merchandising portfolios. The manager will generate insights to inform market and pricing investment decisions that drive business objectives. They Will drive strategic recommendations, monitor performance, and publish thought leadership on business performance.

1. Price Strategy: Develop and implement pricing and promotional strategies across categories that are in line with the company’s goals and customer expectations.
2. Pricing Intelligence: Manage scheduled and intake of pricing and promotional insight requests by performing and presenting analyses/forecasts for pricing and promotional planning tasks. Tasks include recommending pricing and promotional strategies and forecasts and validating planned pricing competitiveness across merchandising portfolios.
3. Price Optimization: Create post-mortems of strategic pricing and promotional activations that support leadership and merchandising teams with insights and recommendations for future planning.
4. Performance Reporting: Control and publish pricing and promotional metrics, scorecards, and competitive insights to the organization that monitor and measure pricing strategies to targets. Prepare detailed reports on pricing strategies and their impact, and present these to senior leadership and stakeholders.
5. Cross Functional Collaboration: Act as a business partner to merchandising, pricing analytic, and product development to prioritize feature enhancements for ongoing business needs. Participate in UAT testing for pricing tools and feature enhancements before deploying to broader business stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum education required: Post-Secondary Education In Arts / Business / Science / Engineering or related
field
· Minimum 5 years of increasing responsibility in CPG/Retail advanced analytics/data science and product
implementation
· Strong at influencing stakeholders through data-based storytelling and succinct presentations
· Methodical and strategic thinker who deploys sound frameworks to problem solve and solution concepts for
testing and development
· Loves connecting the dots through data and motived to develop technology to augment business processes
and decision making
· Results oriented leadership style with a keen ability to motivate a team to operate in an agile environment
and act with urgency
· Strong comfort analyzing various data sets (loyalty data, syndicated data such as NielsenIQ, webscrapped
data, internal sales and finance data, shopper panel data, etc)
· Very resourceful
· Attitude to learn new and challenging work
