Our Governance and Risk team is currently seeking to appoint an ongoing Manager Privacy and Information Access to lead and oversee the Privacy and Information Access team to drive strategic, organisation-wide management of privacy and data access initiatives.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience working in a similar role focusing on privacy and information legislation and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:
This role involves overseeing access to information held by the Department and other agencies in compliance with privacy and information management legislation. Key responsibilities include promoting, monitoring, and reporting on compliance with privacy and information access laws, managing authorisations, decisions, and disclosure logs, and handling formal access applications under the GIPA Act. The role also includes annual reporting, reviewing the AIGS, and supervising a team of information and privacy specialists to deliver high-quality, timely services and advice across the Department. Additionally, the position requires reviewing processes and ensuring the Departments representation in relevant tribunals and commissions.
