    Job Description:
    Supports the implementation of strategies and plans that establish CoBank’s business process management advancement and direction. Guides employee awareness, adoption and use of business process management to enable alignment with CoBank’s strategic objectives, enhance customer awareness and experiences, and support on-going Investment Portfolio Roadmap (IPR) project efforts. Distributes and maintains business process management educational materials, including self-help tools and templates. Effectively communicates and presents results and recommendations across discipline on industry trends, use and applicability of business process management best practices, methodology, tools and techniques. Partners as a business process management resource to executives, senior leaders and enterprise-wide initiative teams. Supports leadership with improvement recommendations and execution of business process management solutions that increase CoBank’s customer benefit realization, value creation, return on investment and the achievement of desired organizational results and outcomes. Manages a team of process management professionals, and supports the team as they carry out core business process management functions. Develops operational reports on process management staff assignments, allocations, and capacity.
    Essential Functions:
  • Manages the implementation of CoBank’s strategy and direction relative to business process management, with a focus on advancing CoBank’s business process alignment with customer needs, coupled with process effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Manages a team of process management professionals and provides support as they integrate process management activities into project plans, ensuring projects and process initiatives meet business success criteria, time and budget objectives.
  • Drives the adoption of a standard Process Taxonomy to support organizational Product model
  • Lead investigation and implementation of Process/Task mining technology to accelerate process mapping/modeling at CoBank.
  • Incorporates process management best practices and strategies into an overall process management methodology. Periodically reviews and proposes enhancements to the process management methodology.
  • Applies, educates associates on, and enforces the use of a structured process management methodology to process management activities, initiatives and projects.
  • Assigns process management staff to accepted initiatives and projects.
  • Develops operational reports on process management staff assignments, allocations and capacity, including group-level budgets for the process management team.
  • Manages a team of Business Process Management professionals. Sets performance standards, manages workflow, grants authorities, evaluates performance, provides coaching/mentoring, and recommends personnel actions within delegated authorities. Consults with Human Resources as appropriate.
  • Acquires and maintains an understanding of the CoBank’s business processes and develops an expertise in its workflows and outputs within the context of value streams, products, and customer experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Process Management, Change Management, Organizational Development, Communications, Project Management, Engineering or other relevant discipline required
  • 6 Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred

Work Experience:
8 years of experience in Process Management, Change Management, Communications, Project Management, Organizational Development or other relevant experience required
5 years of experience leading process initiatives and/or process management teams required
Prior Experience in management preferred
1. Advanced understanding of, and proven success utilizing and applying continuous improvement methodologies, techniques and tools (e.g., Value Streams, Customer Journey Mapping, Business Process Management, Process Maturity Modeling, Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, Change Management, Project Management or other related methodologies).
2. Advanced consulting and facilitation capabilities including, but not limited to meeting facilitation, negotiations, working across organizational boundaries, process mapping and problem solving.
3. Combined strategic and detailed orientation and organization with a strong business acumen and a familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
4. Detail oriented and customer focused, with a strong business acumen, and a familiarity with business process management concepts, approaches, tools and phases.
5. Advanced leadership skills, with the proven ability to motivate and lead individuals and teams.
6. Strong problem solving and root cause identification skills that enhance working with problems that are complex and often unique. Ability to maintain flexibility and resilience when working in ambiguous situations.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships, working effectively at all organizational levels. Skilled at influencing others, building consensus, and moving toward a common vision or goal.
About CoBank:
The typical base pay range for this role is between $105,223 - $146,312. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
