Description:

If you’re looking for the stability of a profitable, growing company with the entrepreneurial spirit of a startup, we’re hiring. SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Product Coverage Manager within our Product Development department. This position will be focused on supporting the management of our policy offerings and contributing to the creation of coverage responses to our growing consumer demand. This role is a Personal lines Homeowners and Property lines specific position and requires functional expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of personal lines property contract language strategies, including ISO and proprietary policy offerings. Support interactions with government agencies to ensure approvals. Prepare and file coverage and rules with state agencies.
  • Contribute to the creation of proprietary coverage endorsements that differentiate SageSure in the marketplace. Work alongside the team to successfully file and implement these through multiple products, partnering with Marketing to ensure the value proposition is highlighted. Collaborate on the creation of associated rule filings in conjunction with Form filings.
  • Assist in investigating emerging risks and contribute to creating coverage solutions. Collaborate with the PL Product team on rate and product decisions.
  • Support the implementation of coverage changes, both strategic and maintenance changes, with collaboration from programming and automation teams.
  • Assist in product design efforts, participate in coverage and output reviews to ensure compliance, reduce vulnerabilities, and improve customer experience.
  • Represent the company in designated coverage disputes; assist in the oversight of coverage litigation, including responding to or attending depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Monitor state legislative and ISO activity and assist in providing pre-litigation advice and reviewing complex coverage issues, helping with responses to DOI complaints, and identifying litigation and claim trends to develop solutions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of necessary corrective actions to ensure compliance with state regulatory requirements and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Claims on identifying negative trends and assist in developing coverage solutions. Stay informed of regulatory rulings, industry trends, and legal developments that affect coverage.
  • Contribute to the development and support of a high-performing team of product analysts, including providing guidance, performance feedback, and mentoring.
  • Serve as a resource to other team members on aspects of project work, insurance, and general business knowledge.
