Emirates Engineering is a cutting-edge aircraft maintenance facility, GCAA CAR V approved, supporting Emirates’ vast Airbus and Boeing fleet and thirty other airlines through third-party contracts. Our highly qualified team excels in maintenance, engineering, quality, planning, and logistics, setting industry standards with an unwavering commitment to safety and excellence.
The Production Planning department at Emirates Engineering plays a pivotal role in getting all the required maintenance done in the most efficient manner. Utilizing advanced planning tools, in depth technical reviews and collaborating closely with various teams, we ensure smooth maintenance operations, minimizing downtime and maximizing aircraft availability. Our focus is on maintaining high safety and efficiency standards while adapting to the airline’s dynamic requirements.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Ensure technical, organizational, and personnel requirements meet internal procedures and authority standards, managing deviations promptly.
  • Drive continuous improvement and benchmark best practices with stakeholders.
  • Lead and assess a team for CAR 145 compliance, ensuring efficient planning, organization, and technical support while aligning with business interests. Set clear objectives, follow up, and provide feedback.
  • Oversee efficient processes in maintenance planning and control, including work pack production, downtime estimation, workflow planning, and materials coordination.
  • Manage the 145 Budget Process, ensuring resource optimization and financial impact awareness. Work with Finance to align the 145 budget with the overall engineering budget and address any deviations.
  • Provide daily Status Reports on work progress, highlighting deviations from the production schedule and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyse production performance against standards at the end of each check and periodically to identify variances and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure feedback mechanisms are in place for correcting inaccurate or incomplete maintenance data.
  • Develop and deliver a maintenance man-hour demand plan every three months, aligning with the aircraft hangar visit plan or component plan and addressing capacity variances.
  • Lead staff development by partnering with Technical Training, National Development, and EKE CAMO to strategically plan training and promotions that align with future business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE, YOU MUST MEET THE BELOW REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree (12+3 or equivalent) in Engineering (Aeronautical or Mechanical or Electronic or Avionics) or holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence for 5 years.
  • Engineering experience of 10+ years
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance related activities including 5+ years Maintenance/Production Planning at an airline or 3rd party Maintenance facility.
  • Experience in Engineering Mechanical or Planning experience in technical Services function, planning and repair / test of power plant/ Overhaul and APU equipment, including on job experience in propulsion planning and engine production control and 5 years in a supervisory/senior position.
  • Leadership Skills
  • Broad and deep understanding of Production Planning and Control principles.
  • Broad and deep Material Management and Supply Chain knowledge.
  • Broad and deep knowledge in Tool and Equipment control and calibration.
  • Knowledge of engine maintenance philosophy, engine/engine module/Nacelle/Powerplant piece part repairs, contracts, purchase and warranty, engineering planning and production control.
  • A thorough understanding of Aircraft Regulatory requirements and Aircraft Maintenance documents.
  • Sound knowledge of aircraft systems, power plant and components.
