The Manager - QA manages and assists in the development of the Wendy’s QA programs regarding food safety, quality, sanitation, production, CSR and/or animal welfare of multiple major products and other assigned minor products in accordance with the departmental plan of action. They manage all aspects of assigned products and their corresponding suppliers’ compliance including auditing, product evaluation, lab testing, data management and other necessary management tools. They also manage supplier compliance to the quality and food safety standards and specifications set forth by the Wendy’s Brand. This individual is required to live in the Columbus/Dublin, OH area and work a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, updates, and implements the programs, procedures, and actions necessary to effectively monitor and maintain compliance with food safety and quality specifications of multiple major products and other assigned minor products. Provides technical support to Wendy’s franchise and company store operations.
- Oversees the scheduling and conduction of audits of food processors to ensure attainment of the departmental plan of action and compliance with company specifications and standards concerning food safety, quality, sanitation, production, CSR and/or animal welfare. Ensures completion of annual third-party audits of assigned product suppliers.
- Responsible for cross-functional communication and assistance. Develops and maintains close partnerships with other departments to advance food safety and quality initiatives related to assigned products. Assists other departments (R&D, QSCC, Operations) with new / improved product development, second sourcing, and quality issues with assigned menu items.
- Coordinates and oversees laboratory testing and data management of assigned food products at external laboratories and suppliers to ensure the sampling / testing frequency and compliance standards outlined in the departmental plan of action are met. Manages specifications and lab evaluation procedures for assigned products.
- Develops solutions and provides recommendations to suppliers and / or Wendy’s QA personnel for corrective actions for deficiencies and/or areas of non-compliance related to assigned products.

Minimum Wage: USD $99,000.00/Yr. Maximum Wage: USD $173,000.00/Yr. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Microbiology or related field is required.
- Knowledge of food science, HACCP, food processing technology, equipment, microbiology.
- Minimum five years work experience in food processing QA or Operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of statistical analysis – statistical process control.

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors.
