Description:
In this role, you will be leading the support and advice to QRA, state agencies and communities on activations and policy relating to recovery funding arrangements.Your responsibilities will be to:
- Lead identification and design of innovative DRFA policy, funding programs and eligibility advice.
- Provide leadership and direction in the planning, implementation, and governance of divisional priorities, including response to disasters and supervision of a team of Activation Officers.
- Provide extraordinary advice on complex DRFA Category C and D eligibility queries as part of business case development and engage with Commonwealth representatives as required.
- Represent QRA’s position in meetings and cross-agency forums at regional, state and federal level, drawing on organisational expertise and experience to influence the wider policy agenda.
- Develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with external stakeholders, particularly other federal, state, and local government agencies contributing to reconstruction, disaster recovery and resilience activities.
- Lead the identification of business and process improvement opportunities for recovery planning.
- Undertake related project and other duties of equivalent complexity as required.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct, all relevant WHS and HR policies, procedures, guidelines, directives, and relevant legislation.
