REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering; an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
- Several years of relevant experience in the industry, with in-depth knowledge of the Canadian construction and building sector, including applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory testing methods for building envelopes
- Extensive experience in the preparation of grant applications for funding agencies
- Experience with business planning, operations management and business development
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of constituents and organizations
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Demonstrated effective human resource management skills
- Demonstrated research dissemination planning and delivery skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with the design and installation of instrumentation plans for various building projects
- Formal training and/or certification in Project Management
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Building Efficiency Technology Access Centre (BETAC), the incumbent will be tasked with managing and facilitating research projects and initiatives collaboratively with RRC Polytech faculty, staff, students, private industry and the public sector. This professional role encompasses project management, staff supervision, and administrative responsibilities.
