Description:
As the Manager, Resilience and Recovery, you will lead a team to deliver disaster resilience, recovery and risk planning through best practice stakeholder engagement and education to achieve human, social and economic outcomes for diverse communities located across Queensland.In this role, your responsibilities will be to:
- Provide oversight and direction in resilience and recovery planning and effective stakeholder engagement and education to ensure the Liaison team meet QRA’s disaster planning priorities.
- Lead the delivery of contemporary and innovative approaches to internal and external stakeholder engagement and issues management including the continual improvement of processes and technology.
- Build enduring disaster resilience and recovery planning knowledge and expertise sharing within the team to ensure decisions and actions are ethical, well-documented, justifiable, and transparent.
- Manage team performance and development through frequent communication, check ins and joint travel. Anticipate and provide early support in managing stakeholder disaster and recovery preparedness.
- Manage the health safety and wellbeing of an on and off-site team with regular travel, including remote locations, in Queensland, before, during and after disasters.
- Support the Technical Director in program delivery priorities, including triaging or managing resilience and recovery priorities or relationship risks by working with stakeholders to negotiate suitable solutions.
- Represent QRA or the Technical Director at stakeholder meetings and events with relevant industry and community organisations and incorporate learnings into team and divisional planning.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver strategic and operational objectives by modelling collaborative relationships and a high-performance workplace culture.
- This role currently leads a team of up to 7, works closely with the Manager, Liaison and reports to the Technical Director.
