ABOUT YOU
AppDirect is looking for a Manager to join the Revenue Accounting team as our company continues to expand rapidly. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the revenue accounting function for the Procurement and Cloud business units. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex revenue streams. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of revenue recognition principles and accounting regulations, along with the adeptness to extract critical insights from large volumes of data. This role will report to the Director of Revenue Accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Revenue Recognition: Manage and ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with US GAAP for the Procurement and Cloud business units. Review and apply revenue recognition policies to ensure compliance;
- Audit and Compliance: Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Prepare necessary documentation and respond to audit inquiries;
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of revenue accounting and operations procedures;
- Revenue Operations: Oversee the accounts receivable function for the Procurement business unit by managing collections, and aging reports to ensure timely and accurate receipt of payments, and implementing strategies alongside the Provider Operations function to optimize cash flow and minimize overdue accounts;
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of entry level staff accountants. Provide training, support, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and professional development;
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including advisor finance and financial operations, to resolve revenue-related issues and support business objectives.
