As Manager, Sales Engineering, you’ll report to the Senior Manager, Sales Engineering and support a team of exceptional individuals who are passionate about working with our customers to find solutions that suit their needs. An ideal candidate would foster, enable, and share their curiosity.
We’re looking for an experienced leader to work closely with our Solutions Engineering & Architect teams to build out the next chapter of the customer journey through solutions engineering.
This is a remote opportunity within the UK.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 5 years of experience working in the SaaS industry in a similar capacity, which includes 2+ years of experience leading a team of highly technical individual contributors.
- Experience in a wide range of business needs and requirements as well as a deep understanding of what customers are looking for and require in security software.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage a team that not only works complex customer engagements but also high impact projects for product enablement.
- A highly effective communicator who excels at working cross-functionally to nurture effective relationships with the other teams within Go-to-Market and the rest of 1Password.
- A positive leader who maintains a healthy and supportive environment for their team in which everyone is supported, encouraged, and meaningfully challenged to do great work.
- Experience leading a team through times of fast-paced change.
- Previous SaaS experience is a must.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Partner with your direct leader and other leaders within Go-to-Market to plan and implement the long-term vision for supporting our customers through the solutions engineering journey.
- Collaborate within the Solutions teams and their leaders to refine and improve our engagement and escalation processes for the teams we support.
- Analyze call volume and patterns, with a focus on optimization, and report on the progress of OKRs and other team metrics to senior management.
- Work with our HR and talent teams to continue to grow the team in EMEA.
- Work with our Partnerships team to support our Channel Partner Program.
- Contribute to highly effective onboarding and development processes for current and future team members.
- Work closely with the team to develop a program for continuously improving customer interaction efficiency and quality.
- Build upon a strong foundation of continuous learning by identifying and providing opportunities for the team to expand their knowledge and develop their skills.
- Support and nurture an exceptionally collaborative team by creating a strong culture of feedback, psychological safety, and communication.

We believe in the power of remote work, but we also recognize that some in-person connection with team members and customers is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, occasional travel for in-person engagement will be a part of this role. This may include but is not limited to bi-annual department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events will typically be held in varying locations across Canada and the USA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
