ABOUT OMNIDIAN

Omnidian is building a more sustainable future for the planet. We assure that IoT-enabled distributed energy assets perform at their best through our passionate teams, our innovative technology, and by creating an amazing customer experience. We’re a well-funded, growth-stage, B Corps certified company offering the potential for enormous impact, both on our products and on the world.
While we have employees across the country, we are looking to fill this particular role with someone based near our headquarters in Seattle who can commit to a hybrid schedule for more face-to-face interactions with team members.

THE JOB

We are looking for a hands-on Salesforce Development Manager to build and lead our Salesforce efforts. You will hire a small team (our first Salesforce development team in the company), establish our development processes, understand the company and company needs, build a prioritized roadmap, execute on that roadmap, and evolve the team and roadmap as the company evolves.
Salesforce is an important part of our business plan, and is providing core capabilities for our Operations and Sales teams as well as providing a general unifying infrastructure across the business. It is increasingly a foundational technology in our rapidly growing business, and we need a strong leader who can build its capabilities alongside the company’s growth. This role sits within our Engineering department and reports directly to our SVP Engineering.

EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED

  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience.
  • 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Expertise in Salesforce platform capabilities and development methodologies.

EXPERIENCE THAT’S A PLUS

  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Talkdesk for Salesforce.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Components, Salesforce declarative tools, and integrating Salesforce with other applications.
  • Relevant Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder, Salesforce Platform Developer I/II, or Salesforce Architect.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • At Omnidian we believe in trust and autonomy. How you create an impact is ultimately up to you. Here is an outline of some of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Recruit, hire, and lead a small team of Salesforce professionals, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Establish and continuously improve development processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Business Solutions and Roadmap Execution (33%)

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver Salesforce solutions that provide real value.
  • Design scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions that integrate with other systems while ensuring security and performance.
  • Develop a Salesforce roadmap that aligns with company goals and evolving needs.

Project Management and Hands-On Development (33%)

  • Manage Salesforce development projects from conception to deployment, ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Participate in Salesforce development activities such as configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code that adheres to best practices.
